Tuesday Evening NECA-IBEW Ambassador 48 Career Fair Training

This is a 2-hour training for IBEW Local 48 apprentices and journey workers. This session will prepare members so that they can attend career fairs and other outreach events with the materials and information that they need to answer questions with confidence and to provide accurate information and advice.

What will be covered:

1. How to speak with youth and/or adults about apprenticeships in a way that is understandable and provides insight into the merits of the trades
2. Event calendar so that members can sign up to attend, as well as add any events that they know about
3. Feedback system for reporting back on the event, and for tracking our outreach goals and hours

The Training Center will provide all of the materials needed for any event that you attend.

The Local has been reimbursing time-loss for our members who attend these events through the Ambassador 48 program if the event is scheduled during your regular straight-time work hours. This reimbursement includes the approximate cash value of hourly benefits.

You will receive a T-shirt when you sign up for your first event, and apprentices receive WPR hours for volunteering.
